LUXURY BEACH HOTELS Marina Inn Grand Dunes

The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway which is the most beautiful spot! We have stayed here before over a long weekend and our most recent stay was for business.

Our room was in the Harbor Tower which over looks the Waterway. The suites are lovely and well worth the extra money too. You can, if your room over looks the Waterway, sit for hours just watching the boats coming in and going out – gorgeous!

The food was better than average for a hotel, and there were two relaxing places to grab a drink. Reflections, in the hotel, has a “19th Hole” feel to it with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the marina. The Anchor Cafe, situated within the marina, sits right on the waterway and captures that “on vacation” ambiance perfectly.

While the Marina Inn itself is not on the beach, they have a wonderful facility at the beach (just a few minutes away) and a shuttle to take you to and from the hotel. Chairs and umbrellas, a bar/restaurant, changing rooms and restrooms are all available for guest use at the beach facility.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is right next door for an excellent meal, and Barefoot Landing and the Tanger Outlets are within a few minutes drive.

If you want to add a highlight to the trip head down to the marina store and rent a jet ski for a cruise along the intracoastal waterway. Go in the morning before it gets busy and enjoy some time on the water!

For any event (wedding, business conference, reunion etc..) the Marina Inn has plenty of facilities to accommodate.

There are a lot of places to stay in Myrtle Beach. The things that differentiate the Marina Inn from other properties in the area are that it’s more quiet than the big beachfront hotels, and the upscale feel to the lobby, rooms and all the facilities. Enjoy!
